Caroling

Tonight our small group from church got together to go caroling at a local nursing home.
Some of the kids made handmade Christmas cards to give the residents and we brought cookies and brownies too! These two little cuties were a hit with the residents! Don't we just love little kids?

It was a time to show some talent and let everyone know something was going on.

It was a great experience for Zach and Drew -- to reach out to others during the Christmas season.

Sadly, Dan had a work Christmas party in Roswell NM, so he was not able to go with us. We all missed his presence and his voice as we caroled up and down the halls. Some residents were already asleep, but we did get to talk to a few. It was fun to do this together and sing together and we think the residents were happy we came to see them. Being in a nursing home is not easy, so we were glad to bring some smiles to a few faces and to our faces!

Looks like a lot of fun Yoli. Remember when we used to go caroling around the rio communities with AnnMarie and some other kids? How hilarious.

O and by the way, I love your pink top and great necklace. Very festive.

Sounds fun! I love helping the kids have experiences like that! It can be scary for the shy ones, but it is so good to give them that exposure and to teach them to give of themselves!

We would have carolers come to our neighborhood in Bellevue and we loved it. We actually went a couple of years and it was fun but cold.
